Senior Cyber Security Analyst with Advanced SQL

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Cyber Security Analyst to join our team. As a key member of our security operations team, you will play a pivotal role in identifying and investigating anomalous activities within our hCaptcha SaaS security platform.

With your expertise in bot detection, web traffic analysis, and deep behavioral analytics, you will conduct advanced investigations of potential automated and human threats, analyze complex patterns and behaviors, and develop actionable insights to enhance our security posture.

  • Monitor, identify, and analyze events from multiple sources to detect threats and respond with urgency.
  • Collaborate with globally distributed teams to accomplish tasks and meet objectives.
  • Assist in collecting metrics to measure the efficiency of Security Operations functions.
  • Audit the effectiveness of security measures to ensure compliance with industry standards.
  • Implement and fine-tune security policies and procedures.
  • Participate in incident investigations and threat hunting engagements.
Key Skills and Qualifications:
  • Hands-on experience with SQL and proficiency in coding standards, WAFs, and advanced persistent threat actors.
  • Exposure to web and API security, including knowledge of managing and securing production web environments.
  • Threat hunting and web hacking experience, as well as in-depth knowledge of web technology and application security.
  • Scripting and programming skills, including JavaScript and Python.
  • Interest in data-driven decision making and metrics applied to security.
  • Excellent collaboration and communication skills.
