Merchandise Assistant Role

As a key member of our team, the Merchandise Assistant plays a vital role in ensuring seamless merchandise operations across retail and online channels. Key responsibilities include maintaining accurate stock levels, supporting timely replenishments, and delivering exceptional shopping experiences for customers.

The ideal candidate will possess excellent organizational skills, strong attention to detail, and a results-driven mindset with a focus on quality and efficiency.

  • Key Responsibilities:
    • Manage merchandise administration tasks including POs, SKUs, barcoding, pricing, and allocations
    • Nurture strong relationships with suppliers while coordinating replenishments and inter-store transfers
    • Maintain stock accuracy through regular stocktakes, variance reporting, and adjustments
    • Prepare and maintain sales reports, WIP listings, and forecasting spreadsheets
    • Support merchandise planning and manage listings on third-party marketplaces as needed

Required Skills:

  • At least 5 years of experience in a comparable retail business (across both stores and ecommerce)
  • Hands-on experience working with Shopify
  • Strong Excel skills for reporting, analysis, and data management
  • Knowledge of retail point-of-sale systems beyond Shopify
  • Proactive problem-solving skills and ability to work independently
  • A results-driven mindset with strong organizational and multitasking abilities
  • High attention to detail and accuracy in a fast-paced environment
