Job Overview

The Senior Design Specialist is responsible for overseeing design projects, ensuring timely delivery of high-quality designs. Key responsibilities include understanding project requirements, preparing critical design elements, and reviewing deliverables to verify compliance with industry standards.

This role reports to the Engineering Manager-Design and collaborates with other engineers, consultants, and clients.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop design guidelines for senior and junior engineers.
  • Verify and validate calculations or analyses.
  • Review completed designs and drawings to confirm they meet design input requirements.
  • Ensure fabrication, construction, and vendor drawings align with design specifications.
  • Interface with cross-functional teams.
  • Provide engineering support throughout project lifecycle.
  • Coordinate with external stakeholders.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Civil, Mechanical, Electrical).
  • Engineering Board certification.
  • 5-7 years' experience leading design efforts, including piping, tank, electrical, instrument & control, and fire protection.
  • Attention to detail and excellent organizational skills.
  • Strong leadership and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficient in utilizing design software and tools.
