Accounting Professional Opportunity

Seeking a highly skilled Senior Accountant to lead and manage our accounts payable function. In this role, you will process purchase orders, vendor invoices, and payments, reconcile AP and credit card transactions, and ensure compliance with accounting standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Process purchase orders, vendor invoices, and payments in line with company policies and procedures.
  • Reconcile accounts payable transactions, vendor statements, and credit card accounts on a timely basis.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date vendor records and documentation to ensure seamless payment processing.
  • Monitor outstanding payables and ensure timely and accurate payment processing to maintain positive relationships with vendors.
  • Collaborate with purchasing teams and vendors to resolve discrepancies and exceptions in a professional manner.
  • Support month-end close by preparing accruals, reconciliations, and reports to ensure financial accuracy and transparency.
  • Assist in audits by providing required schedules, reports, and supporting documents to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Address day-to-day AP transactions while identifying opportunities for process improvements to optimize efficiency and productivity.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 2 years' experience in US accounting with a strong background in financial analysis and reporting.
  • Hands-on experience with ERP systems, including knowledge of data integration and workflow management.
  • Skilled in Microsoft Excel, including advanced formulas and functions.
  • Knowledge of GAAP, financial close processes, and variance analysis to ensure financial accuracy and transparency.
  • Experience preparing reports, reconciliations, and audit documentation to meet regulatory requirements.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail and ability to work in a dynamic environment.
  • Ability to manage multiple deadlines in a fast-paced setting and prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Self-motivated, adaptable, and focused on continuous improvement to drive business growth and success.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English, with the ability to effectively communicate complex financial concepts to stakeholders.
