Job Title: 3D Image Conversion Specialist

About the Role:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and technically skilled specialist to transform high-resolution 2D portrait images into 3D bas-relief point cloud models for subsurface crystal engraving.

This role is ideal for someone with a strong grasp of image processing, 3D modeling, and precision formatting for laser engraving systems.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Convert 2D images (JPEG/PNG) into 3D point cloud models with raised facial features (bas-relief effect).
  • Enhance image clarity and contrast to optimize depth and detail in final output.
  • Ensure compatibility of point cloud files with engraving machine formats (e.g., OBJ).
  • Scale and align models to match crystal dimensions (e.g., 5cm cube).
  • Perform quality checks and deliver engraving-ready files for production.

Qualifications:

  • Proficiency in 3D modeling software (e.g., Blender, MeshLab, or equivalent).
  • Experience with point cloud generation and manipulation.
  • Familiarity with subsurface laser engraving or similar precision manufacturing processes.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to meet formatting specifications.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple image conversions efficiently.

Preferred Skills:

  • Knowledge of bas-relief modeling techniques.
  • Experience in image enhancement and depth mapping.
  • Understanding of OBJ file structure and compatibility standards.
  • Experienced with Point Cloud Library in converting images.
