Senior Architecture Award Strategist

We are seeking a seasoned professional to lead our architecture award strategy, managing and executing submissions for top-tier national and international programs.

This is a remote position that requires a strong understanding of the architecture and design industry, as well as excellent communication and project management skills. If you have a passion for architecture and design, and enjoy working independently, we encourage you to apply.

About the Role
  • This role involves developing an annual awards submission calendar based on strategic relevance and deadlines.
  • You will identify eligible projects, awards, and categories across residential and design sectors.
  • Your responsibilities include preparing and managing award submissions - including image curation, text development, project storytelling, and online form completion.
  • Collaboration with design and marketing teams is essential to gather assets, photography, and plans.
  • Maintaining records of submissions, deadlines, and results is crucial.
  • You will advise on photography, presentation, and narrative positioning to maximize chances of winning.
Requirements
  • Proven experience in managing architecture and design award submissions.
  • A strong familiarity with award platforms: AIA, Architizer, Dezeen, Dwell, Interior Design Best of Year, The Plan, WAN, etc.
  • Excellent writing skills with an eye for architectural storytelling.
  • The ability to distill complex project ideas into clear, engaging language.
  • Comfort working with architects, creatives, and photographers.
  • Extremely detail-oriented and deadline-driven.
  • A portfolio of successful past submissions or awards won is required.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with press kits, media relations, or architecture PR would be beneficial.
  • A background in architecture, journalism, or design communications is also desirable.
