Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Financial Operations Specialist to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, processing transactions, and supporting financial reporting.

You will handle payroll management, create or maintain records of financial transactions, process invoicing and accounts receivable, pay bills, manage expense management software and accounts payable, and provide support for audits by external entities.

As a Financial Operations Specialist, you will compile reports to show statistics, such as cash receipts and expenditures, accounts payable and receivable, profit and loss, and other items pertinent to the operation of the business.

Additionally, you will analyze financial information detailing assets, liabilities, and capital, and prepare a balance sheet, profit, and loss statement, and other reports to summarize the current and projected company financial position.

Other responsibilities include verifying contracts, orders, and vouchers, and preparing reports to substantiate individual transactions before settlement.

Required Skills and Qualifications

A Bachelor's degree in the related field is preferred, along with 5+ years of full charge bookkeeper/staff accountant experience including account reconciliation and work paper preparation experience.

Experience with QuickBooks Online is required, and experience with Bill.com is a plus. Prior experience with manufacturing or construction is preferred, as well as experience in general ledger through financial statements and online bill pay experience.

Intermediate Excel skills are necessary, along with excellent attention to detail, experience in a multi-client environment, and strong organization, oral and written communication skills.

Aptitude in data management, analytics, reporting preparation, and ability to function in an autonomous environment—independent worker, self-directed—are also essential.
