Job Summary:

The Logistics Operations Specialist is responsible for receiving and assigning trucking instructions to internal customers, as well as informing the Transport Supervisor of daily routines. Additionally, this role involves monitoring fuel consumption and odometer readings for operational changes, updating the Trucking Officer accordingly. The specialist must also monitor truck movement and notify the Trucking Officer of any changes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Establish and implement Standard Operating Procedures for the Department.
  • Ensure that service requirements of internal customers are met.
  • Implement cost control measures by planning pick-up schedules and monitoring operational expenses.
  • Address concerns and issues in the department in a timely manner.
  • Adhere to company policy.
