We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive professional to manage accounts payable in a fast-paced environment. As a travel company processes a high volume of transactions daily, this role is ideal for someone who thrives in a busy, transaction-heavy environment.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Setting up new suppliers on financial systems and maintaining accurate supplier records
  • Processing supplier invoices, ensuring accuracy and proper authorization
  • Verifying invoices against purchase orders for quantities, prices, and terms
  • Inputting approved invoices into the accounts package and reservation system
  • Managing supplier payments in a timely manner to maintain positive vendor relationships
  • Processing proforma invoices and handling pre-payment arrangements
  • Chasing and following up on proforma invoices to ensure timely receipt

Additional responsibilities include:

  • Assisting with monthly reconciliation of creditors and other balance sheet accounts
  • Supporting month-end and year-end close processes as required
  • Providing ad hoc support to the finance team on various projects and tasks
  • E nsuring quality control of financial transactions and resolving discrepancies promptly

This role requires:

  • 3+ years of experience in accounts payable or similar finance role preferred, with travel industry background being ideal but not essential
  • Comfort working with large volumes of daily transactions in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong Excel skills and familiarity with accounting software packages
  • Excellent accuracy in data entry and invoice processing
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills for supplier liaison
  • Able to multitask, prioritize effectively, and work to deadlines
  • Enthusiasm for supporting others and making a positive impact
  • Understanding of foreign currency accounting would be advantageous
  • Collaborative approach with ability to work across international teams
