Job Overview

The role of a Onboarding Coordinator involves managing the full lifecycle for temporary education professionals. This includes credentialing, background checks, documentation, and compliance with district and state requirements.


Key Responsibilities

The ideal candidate will be responsible for:

  • Managing onboarding workflows from offer to start date;
  • Verifying state licensure, credentials, and certifications;
  • Coordinating and tracking background checks, TB tests, fingerprinting, and other pre-employment requirements;
  • Maintaining accurate records in internal systems and client portals;
  • Communicating with contractors to ensure timely submission of documents;
  • Liaising with recruiters, account managers, and school district contacts to meet deadlines;
  • Conducting routine audits to ensure contractor files remain compliant throughout assignments.

In addition to these responsibilities, the Onboarding Coordinator will also perform payroll support tasks, including ensuring contractor information is complete and accurate for payroll processing.


Qualifications

To be successful in this role, candidates should possess:

  • A bachelor's degree in a related field;
  • Minimum 2+ years of experience in an onboarding, compliance, or credentialing role;
  • Strong knowledge of school district onboarding and credentialing requirements;
  • Experience onboarding temporary employees across multiple states;
  • Familiarity with background check processes, fingerprinting requirements, and state-specific compliance laws.

Candidates should also possess excellent organizational skills, clear written and verbal communication skills, and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
