Job Description:

This role demands a creative vision, an understanding of child behavior, and strict adherence to toy safety standards. As a Product Designer, you will develop imaginative, age-appropriate toy concepts that align with current themes, trends, and brand objectives.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Develop innovative toy designs using design tools like CAD, SolidWorks, and Adobe Illustrator.
  • Conduct user research and testing with children or parent focus groups to gather insights.
  • Ensure compliance with local and international toy safety standards, such as ASTM and EN71.
  • Collaborate with suppliers, engineers, and manufacturers to ensure feasibility, cost-efficiency, and quality.
  • Work with marketing and branding teams to integrate toy designs with promotional campaigns.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Industrial Design, Toy Design, Product Design, or a related field is required.
  • Proven experience in toy or product design, especially for children.
  • A strong portfolio showcasing design process and final products is essential.
  • Proficiency in 2D and 3D design software, including Adobe Creative Suite and Rhino, is necessary.
  • An understanding of child psychology, play behavior, and developmental appropriateness is crucial.
  • Knowledge of toy materials, prototyping, and manufacturing processes is also required.
  • Familiarity with toy safety standards and compliance requirements is vital.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills are essential for success in this role.
