About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Product Innovation Assistant to join our team at Yatai International Corp./Omni Electrical and Lighting.

The successful candidate will be responsible for assisting in the planning, design, and development of test requirements and special testing equipment/apparatus to establish product and/or customer specifications.

The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, the ability to think critically, and a strong analytical mind. They will also be able to work independently and as part of a team, with good manual dexterity for using common office equipment.

Responsibilities:

  1. Test Requirements and Equipment: Assist in the planning, design, and development of test requirements and special testing equipment/apparatus to establish product and/or customer specifications.
  2. Engineering Documentation: Create and assist in the development of engineering documentation for new products or product changes.
  3. Sales and Marketing Research: Conduct sales and market research, including product features and specs, pricing, and market sale-ability.

Requirements:

  • Ability to communicate orally with customers, management, and other coworkers is crucial.
  • Good manual dexterity for the use of common office equipment such as computer terminals, calculators, copiers, and FAX machines.
  • Good critical thinking skills and ability to analyze data are required to solve complex business problems.

Qualifications:

  • Reports to the Product Development and Technical Manager. Coordinates activities with outside consultants or contractors and Manufacturing, Marketing, Sales, and Customer Service.
  • Electrical Engineer. Prefer applicants who have experience relevant to the job description.
  • Good communication skills and the ability to work well with people are essential.
  • Familiarity with computer applications is required.
