Job Summary:

The Instructional Designer plays a vital role in creating engaging and effective learning activities and compelling course content in collaboration with subject matter experts.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Apply best practices in learning technologies and instructional design to create high-quality educational materials.
  • Work with subject matter experts to identify required learning outcomes and target learner populations.
  • Identify the most effective delivery mechanisms for e-learning, virtual classroom, and face-to-face instruction.
  • Set instructional end goals and create content that matches them.
  • Visualize instructional graphics, user interface, and finished products for e-learning.
  • Provide learner interactivity through exercises, activities, and quizzes to enhance the learning process and experience.
  • Create supporting material/media such as audio, video, simulations, role plays, and games.
  • Devise modes of assessment to measure the effectiveness of courses and attainment of knowledge and other specified learner outcomes.
Required Skills:
  • In-depth knowledge of learning theories and instructional design models.
  • Lesson and curriculum planning skills.
  • Working knowledge of multiple web design technologies (HTML) and multi-media formats (jpg, mp4, mp3).
  • Visual design skills (e.g. Dreamweaver, Photoshop, Illustrator).
  • Ability to write effective copy, instructional text, audio, and video scripts.
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in instructional design, educational technology, or similar relevant field.
  • Certification in Instructional Design (preferred).
