Job Overview

The General Accountant plays a pivotal role in maintaining the company's financial health and ensuring accurate reporting.

Key Responsibilities
  • Maintain the accuracy of financial transactions by managing and reviewing the general ledger (GL).
  • Perform monthly, quarterly, and year-end reconciliations and closing processes to ensure timely and accurate posting of journal entries, accruals, and adjustments.
  • Prepare comprehensive financial reports including balance sheets, income statements, cash flow statements, and other reports as required.
  • Monitor and reconcile bank accounts, vendor accounts, and other general ledger accounts to prevent discrepancies.
  • Assist with budgeting and forecasting processes to aid decision-making.
  • Ensure compliance with local and international financial reporting standards.
  • Handle audits and ensure the company's financial records are compliant with audit requirements.
  • Collaborate with external auditors, tax authorities, and other third parties as needed.
  • Provide actionable financial insights and support to the management team to inform strategic decisions.
  • Contribute to the development and improvement of accounting processes and internal controls to optimize efficiency.
