Actuarial Professional

We are seeking a highly skilled actuarial professional to join our team. This role provides critical actuarial support across business functions, including rate indications, price monitoring, profitability analysis, product development, database management, and strategic decision-making.

The ideal candidate will have a demonstrated ability with programming languages and prior actuarial experience—especially in pricing—is a significant advantage.

Key Responsibilities
  • Building and improving our new Marine pricing tool
  • Price Monitoring & Profitability Analysis
  • Ability to perform independently and meet deadlines, with some guidance from supervisor
  • Adhoc pricing analysis
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Strong analytical, database, and Excel skills, particularly Excel VBA
  • Curiosity, motivation, and ability to self-teach
  • Hard-working, detail-oriented person who takes pride in owning their work, and is committed to quality of thought and accuracy
  • Understanding of insurance and actuarial concepts and methodologies
  • Strong analysis, prioritization and time management skills
  • Strong written, oral and interpersonal communication skills
  • Strong team player with leadership attributes
  • Typical hours will be 3AM-12NN EST, with occasional flexibility depending on circumstances
Education and Seniority Level
  • Bachelor's degree with concentration in a quantitative discipline such as Actuarial, Statistics, Computer Science, Mathematics, Economics or Operations Research - with 5 or more years of experience
