Job Title: Mortgage Broker Assistant

This role supports the broker throughout the loan application process.

  • Assists the brokers at all stages of the loan process, from first contact through to settlement.
  • Provides high-level executive and administrative support to the Mortgage Brokers and their applications.
  • Requests client information and liaises with clients directly to gather supporting documentation.
Responsibilities:
  • Conduct needs analysis, serviceability assessments, product assessment, and funding position based on clients' objectives and situations.
  • Researches lender policies and prepares loan comparisons.
  • Prepares and packages client loan applications, ensuring data entry requirements are accurate and all supporting documentation is as per bank requirements.
  • Lender follow-up and status reporting.
  • Takes ownership of compliance-related matters, ensuring all documentation and data is captured in the CRM system.
  • Completes loan serviceability, orders valuations, prepares forms, gathers rate quotes, arranges loan doc execution, and settles loans with stakeholders.
  • Post-settlement after-care and reviewing existing client loans to maintain client contact.
Qualifications:
  • Minimum 2 years Australian experience supporting a mortgage broker or banking/lending industry.
  • Experience with Aggregator CRM software and Applyonline/Simpology (LoanApp) lodgment systems.
  • Passionate about delivering quality client outcomes.
  • Understanding of data privacy, Australian Best Interest Duty, Responsible Lending, and the broker's obligations under this legislation.
  • Accurate and accountable with work.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work in a cohesive and high-paced environment.
  • Well-presented and detail-oriented.
  • Ability to understand financial documents and assess PAYG applications.
  • Strong team player with a good work ethic.
  • IT savvy and able to learn software quickly.
  • Highly organized and proficient at multi-tasking.
