Job Title: Senior Accountant

Skillful accountants with a strong attention to detail and excellent analytical skills are required for this challenging role.

This position is responsible for the planning, coordination, and administration of general accounting and reporting activities, including financial statement preparation and analysis, budgeting, forecasting, and balance sheet reconciliations.

  • Prepare accurate journal entries to record monthly activity, including cash, revenue, fees, liabilities, chargebacks, transfers, and adjustments.
  • Develop month-end close and cash reports that provide valuable insights into our organization's financial performance.
  • Participate in meetings and calls to ensure effective communication and collaboration with colleagues.
  • Maintain adherence to cash policies and procedures to ensure the integrity of our financial systems.
  • Work collaboratively with practice leadership to identify opportunities for improving processes and efficiency.
  • Identify, analyze, and research variances between payment processors, banks, and general ledgers to optimize financial performance.
  • Train, mentor, and support Accountant staff to ensure knowledge sharing and skill development.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • 2-3 years of experience in finance, accounting, or audit fields.
  • Preferred experience: progressive practical accounting experience in accrual-based financial accounting/reporting environments with month-end close responsibilities; healthcare and/or physician practice experience; S2K general ledger experience.
  • Required education: Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance; CPA candidate preferred.
