Contract Management Specialist

This role is responsible for managing contracts, including drafting, reviewing and executing agreements. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical and problem-solving skills, as well as excellent communication and negotiation skills.

The successful candidate will be able to manage multiple projects simultaneously, prioritize tasks effectively, and maintain accurate records of contract activity. They will also be proficient in using contract management software and have experience with automated workflows.

  • Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage internal NDAs, MSAs, and contract amendments through approval workflows, including verifying forms are filled out correctly, routing to appropriate approvers, and sending to the correct parties for signature
  • Review and redline contracts, draft 1-2 paragraph legal summaries highlighting key terms, risks, and relevant points for project managers
  • Manage contracts within our contract management system, including creating templates, folders, directing files to appropriate locations, creating tags for efficient searching, and performing other typical day-to-day system operations
  • Set up and maintain automated workflows in ContractBook or similar platforms, such as defining no-code rules for document routing (e.g., sending for sequential approvals, escalating based on conditions, and directing to final signatories)

Required Qualifications:

  • Law degree with 3+ years experience working with US law firms, including hands-on review, redlining, and drafting of commercial contracts such as NDAs, MSAs, and SOWs
  • Fluent English with excellent written communication skills, including the ability to create concise 1-2 paragraph contract summaries
  • Extensive experience operating within contract management systems, including creating templates, organizing folders and files, applying tags for searchability, and managing day-to-day tasks
  • Proven experience setting up no-code automations in contract management systems (e.g., approval routing rules, conditional workflows)

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 3+ years in legal operations roles with a focus on contract lifecycle management and automation
  • Direct experience with the ContractBook contract management system, including setting up automations, tasks, and workflows
  • No-code/low-code automation expertise in other Contract Management Systems or in similar platforms like Salesforce, Monday.com, or Smartsheet
