Accounting Specialist Role

We are seeking a skilled Accounting Specialist to manage daily accounting operations, including reconciliations, payables, receivables, and month-end close.

About the Job
  • This role will involve performing daily bank reconciliations to ensure accurate and timely financial records.
  • The successful candidate will review and process vendor invoices, ensuring accuracy, proper coding, and compliance with company policies.
  • Maintaining complete, organized documentation is crucial for this position.
  • The individual will oversee employee expense reports and corporate credit card transactions, verifying compliance with company guidelines.
  • A strong attention to detail is required to accurately record all financial transactions in the accounting system.
  • Monitoring and managing outstanding accounts receivable, proactively communicating with customers to ensure timely collections, is also a key responsibility.
  • The role will involve conducting and reviewing balance sheet reconciliations, including prepaids, accruals, and other key accounts.
  • A monthly cash flow analysis and ad hoc financial reports will be prepared to support management decision-making.
  • Supporting and overseeing the month-end close process, ensuring deadlines are met and financial reporting is accurate, is also a critical aspect of this role.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field is required.
  • A minimum of 3 years of relevant experience in accounting and finance, with exposure to both Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable, is necessary.
  • Proficiency in accounting software (QuickBooks preferred) is essential.
  • Strong knowledge of GAAP and applicable regulatory requirements is required.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills are necessary.
  • A high level of accuracy and attention to detail is required.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams, are essential.
  • Willingness to work night shift hours to support US-based clients is a requirement.
