We are seeking a skilled and experienced Collections Representative to join our team.
This role involves contacting customers with overdue accounts, negotiating payment arrangements, and maintaining accurate records while delivering excellent service.
To succeed in this role, you must be highly motivated and dedicated, with strong negotiation and conflict resolution skills.
You should possess a high school diploma or equivalent, and 1-2 years of experience in collections or a similar contact center role.
The ideal candidate will be fluent in English and Spanish, and familiar with debt collection laws and practices.
You will be working in a fast-paced environment with multiple priorities and deadlines. You will be required to make outbound calls to customers, negotiate payment plans and settlements, and update customer accounts accordingly.
In addition to your technical skills, you will need to possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with customers and colleagues alike.
Key Responsibilities- Negotiate payment plans and settlements with customers.
- Update customer accounts and document all collection activities.
- Make outbound calls to customers regarding overdue payments.
- Follow up on broken promises and maintain consistent contact with debtors.
- High school diploma or equivalent; further education is an advantage.
- 1–2 years of experience in collections or a similar contact center role.
- Strong negotiation and conflict resolution skills.
- Ability to remain professional and calm under pressure.
