Software Platform Engineering Manager

Join a dynamic team to lead engineering teams in software platform development, ensuring high-quality design and code delivery. You will oversee commercial engagements, participate as a technical lead on complex customer projects, implement disciplined engineering processes, and integrate and maintain platform-oriented software stacks.

This is a mid-senior level role that offers the opportunity to influence culture, facilitate technical delivery, and work with your team on strategy and execution. The position is globally remote, allowing you to work from anywhere while still collaborating with colleagues.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and develop a team of engineers, ranging from graduate to senior
  • Oversee commercial engagements and support timely delivery on agreed project milestones
  • Participate as technical lead on complex customer engagements involving complete system architectures
  • Implement disciplined engineering processes
  • Integrate and maintain platform-oriented software stacks

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Exceptional academic track record from both high school and university
  • Undergraduate degree in Computer Science or STEM, or a compelling narrative about your alternative path
  • Fluency in C, C++, and Python
  • Experience with Linux and operational systems software (e.g. kernel or user space)
  • Experience with Debian/Ubuntu or other distro packaging
  • Experience leading software engineering teams
  • Professional written and spoken English
  • Confidence to respectfully speak up, exchange feedback, and share ideas without hesitation
