Senior Bookkeeper Role

As a Senior Bookkeeper, you will play a key role in managing complex bookkeeping tasks and ensuring accuracy, compliance, and efficiency across our clients' financial processes.

Responsibilities include overseeing daily bookkeeping activities, reviewing and reconciling bank statements and credit card transactions, preparing and analyzing financial reports, and supervising junior bookkeeping staff. You will also be responsible for coordinating with other departments to ensure proper financial recording and reporting, implementing and maintaining accounting systems and procedures, and performing periodic audits to ensure data integrity.

Key skills required for this role include strong Australian accounting knowledge, experience with Xero, BAS preparation, payroll taxation, and month-end reports preparation. A bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field is essential, along with at least 3-4 years of related work experience.

  • Manage day-to-day bookkeeping activities.
  • Ensure accurate and timely recording of financial transactions.
  • Review and reconcile bank statements and credit card transactions.
  • Prepare and analyze financial reports.
  • Supervise junior bookkeeping staff.
