Account Manager Job Description

The Account Manager plays a pivotal role in the Service Delivery Unit (SDU) by fostering and maintaining strong relationships with clients. This individual is expected to possess exceptional time and personnel management skills, critical problem-solving abilities, and outstanding communication skills.

As a key contributor to the team, the Account Manager will be responsible for creating and executing strategies to meet client expectations and drive business growth. This includes working closely with the Sales and Marketing teams to identify and capitalize on opportunities for business advancement.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients to ensure exceptional customer satisfaction
  • Identify and capitalize on opportunities for business growth and expansion
  • Work closely with the Sales and Marketing teams to develop and execute strategies to meet client expectations
  • Manage and prioritize multiple client accounts to ensure timely delivery of services and products
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless execution of client projects

Requirements:

  • 2-5 years' experience in Sales or Account Management
  • Proven track record of success in sales and account management, with measurable performance standards in conversion, margin, and overall revenue
  • Strong sales history with a focus on variable income (sales commissions equal to or in excess of base pay)
  • Familiarity with defined sales techniques and strategies
  • Good working knowledge of current internet technologies
  • Strong ability to communicate and engage with clients and internal stakeholders
  • Ability to overcome objections and negotiate effectively
  • Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, critical thinking, and learning abilities

Specialized Knowledge or Skills:

  • Understanding of online marketing is an advantage
  • Exposure to SEO is an advantage
  • Work experience with e-commerce companies (.com's) is an asset
  • Exposure to western cultures (either traveling, education, or working abroad) is an asset
  • Exposure to programming language is a plus

Work Environment:

The Account Manager will work in a hybrid set-up, requiring flexibility and adaptability to meet the needs of clients and internal stakeholders.
