The role of an Insurance Specialist is pivotal in the organization, encompassing various responsibilities that ensure seamless processing and management of insurance policy applications. This position demands a high level of attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
Job Responsibilities- Process new insurance policy applications, verifying all required information and documentation are complete and accurate.
- Handle endorsements, renewals, and cancellations in a timely manner.
- Review policy applications for compliance with regulatory requirements and company standards.
- Maintain organized client files and policy records.
- Ensure all policy documentation is properly scanned, filed, and stored.
- Generate and distribute policy documents to clients and relevant parties.
- Enter policy information into the insurance management system accurately and efficiently.
- Verify data for accuracy and completeness, making corrections as needed.
- Update and maintain client and policy information in the database.
- Assist clients with inquiries related to policy status, coverage details, and billing.
- Provide support to the customer service team by supplying necessary policy information.
- Communicate with clients, agents, underwriters, and other stakeholders to resolve issues.
- Previous experience in commercial property and casualty insurance processing is highly desirable.
- Familiarity with insurance software such as Applied EPIC, AMS 360, EZ Lynx, and CRM systems.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
