About the Job

The Technical Editor role is responsible for editing documents to client specifications, templates, and style guides. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of business goals, project deliverables, timelines, and budgets. This position requires excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Document Editing: Ensure high-quality document editing services that meet client expectations.
  • Leadership: Provide guidance and support to junior staff members, ensuring they have the necessary skills and knowledge to excel in their roles.
  • Communication: Develop and maintain effective relationships with clients, colleagues, and other stakeholders.
  • Project Management: Coordinate and manage projects from start to finish, ensuring timely delivery and exceeding client expectations.
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in English, journalism, scientific discipline, or related field.
  • Experience: At least 2 years of prior related experience; highly skilled, talented, and motivated candidates will be considered.
  • Certifications: Editor in the Life Sciences certification desired, but not required.
  • Skills: Strong computer skills, including proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint).
