Job Description

The Remote Dental Billing Specialist will play a crucial role in ensuring accurate billing, claims processing, and payment collections. This position requires familiarity with dental software and an eagerness to learn and grow within a dynamic environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Manage dental billing processes, including insurance claims submission and follow-ups.
  2. Achieve accurate input and validation of patient data into the billing system (preferably Open Dental or similar software).
  3. Resolve billing discrepancies, rejections, and delays by liaising with insurance providers.
  4. Maintain proper coding and compliance with dental billing standards.
  5. Communicate with patients to clarify billing inquiries and resolve payment issues.
  6. Keep organized records of claims, payments, and adjustments.
  7. Determine areas for process improvement and propose solutions to enhance billing efficiency.

Required Skills and Qualifications

To excel in this position, you must have proficiency in any dental billing software (Open Dental preferred), previous experience in dental billing or related roles, strong English communication skills, critical thinking ability, organization, and attention to detail.
