About the Job

As a QAC Electrical Engineer at Meralco Industrial Engineering Services Corporation, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the quality of our projects. Your primary responsibility will be to perform quality control inspections and testing activities, reporting results to the relevant Lead QA and QC Engineers.

You will also provide support and assistance in verifying quality inspection and testing results/activities of assigned projects, ensuring that materials and workmanship conform to relevant specifications and applicable codes.

In this role, you will prepare QC inspections checklists, inspection and testing plans, and project quality plans specific to the project assigned in coordination with the Lead QA and QC Engineers.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Conducts QC Inspection and Testing activities and reports generated to the relevant Lead QA and QC Engineers.

  2. Provides support and assistance in verification of quality inspection and testing results/activities of the assigned project to ensure that materials and workmanship conform to relevant specifications and applicable codes.

  3. Prepares QC inspections checklist, inspection and testing plans, and project quality plan specific to the project assigned in coordination with the Lead QA and QC Engineers.

  4. Reviews contract specifications, identifies the project specific requirements, and ensures the timely development and approval of quality procedures and plans.

  5. Controls as-built condition and modification of the engineering documents.

  6. Coordinates with the pre-commissioning and commissioning team for relevant inspections and records.

  7. Monitors and records the close out of punch list items.

  8. Facilitates project closure and turnover of quality documents for completion.

  9. Performs spot checks and surveillance to the vendor, supplier, and sub-contractor to ensure compliance delivery.

  10. Works with the construction team and sub-contractors towards the successful completion of the assigned project.

  11. Ensures that the project personnel are fully aware of the quality requirements by dissemination of quality control procedures, documents, and programs.

,Required Skills and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you must have:

  1. A Graduate degree in Electrical Engineering; Licensed Engineer.

  2. Preferably with IQA Certification.

  3. At least 2 years work experience in the Substation and Transmission Line.

  4. Knowledgeable in quality international standards.

  5. Must be willing to be assigned to project sites.
