Job Description

Lead a data engineering team in Manila and design robust systems for processing large datasets using Apache Airflow, Kafka, and Flink.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Build performant batch and streaming data pipelines to handle large volumes of real-time market data and batch formats.
  • Construct scalable data warehousing solutions utilizing Snowflake.
  • Employ cloud-based systems on AWS or GCP to build robust and scalable infrastructure.
  • Improve Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment processes using Jenkins and GitLab.
  • Maintain and monitor various data applications, pipelines, and databases.

Requirements:

  • 5+ years of experience in data engineering or similar.
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, mathematics, or a related technical field.
  • Experience hiring, mentoring, and leading junior engineers.
  • Proficiency in Python with at least one data manipulation framework and SQL; knowledge of other languages is advantageous.
  • Experience with REST APIs and building scalable API data platforms.
  • Experience with AWS, Snowflake, Kubernetes, and Airflow.
  • Comfortable with Linux and command line operations.
  • Understanding of ETL processes and event streaming technologies.

Skills and Qualifications:

The ideal candidate should have strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to effectively interact with both business and technical teams.
