Job SummaryWe are looking for an experienced Carpenter to work on various projects, including residential and commercial construction. The successful candidate will be responsible for reading blueprints, taking measurements, cutting and shaping materials, and constructing building frameworks.
Key Responsibilities:- Project Planning: Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and sketches to understand project specifications.
- Measurement and Calculation: Take measurements and calculate the sizes and amounts of materials needed for the project.
- Cutting and Shaping: Cut, shape, and smooth wood, plastic, and other materials according to measurements.
- Building Construction: Construct and install building frameworks, including walls, floors, and doorframes.
- Installation: Install structures and fixtures, such as windows, moulding, hardwood floors, siding, cabinets, drywall, and insulation.
- Inspection and Repair: Inspect and replace damaged framework or other structures and fixtures.
- Experience: 2+ years of experience in carpentry or a related field.
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent required; vocational training or certification in carpentry preferred.
- Skillset: Strong knowledge of building codes, safety protocols, and equipment operation.
The estimated salary for this position is $60,000 - $80,000 per year, depending on experience. Additionally, we offer a comprehensive benefits package, including health insurance, retirement plan, and paid time off.
