Job Title: Senior Cloud Platform Engineer

Leading a seasoned Senior Cloud Platform Engineer to drive our cloud infrastructure forward.

This role involves combining technical expertise in AWS with leadership capabilities in incident response and system reliability.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage incident response from initial detection to post-mortem documentation, focusing on continuous improvement.
  • Develop comprehensive incident response strategies to minimize downtime and business impact.
  • Participate in 24/7 on-call rotations for continuous system availability.
  • Implement and maintain observability solutions using Cloudwatch, DataDog or similar platforms.
  • Maintain, improve and optimize AWS infrastructure using Terraform for scalability, reliability and cost efficiency.
  • Assess and enhance AWS infrastructure for performance and cost-effectiveness.
  • Monitor serverless technologies like AWS Lambda and API Gateway for peak performance and cost efficiency.
  • Optimize ECS Fargate deployments for containerized applications.
  • Collect and analyze metrics to identify resource consumption, abnormal behavior and potential bottlenecks.
  • Configure alerting, dashboards and automated monitoring across distributed systems.
