**Head of Engineering Department**

About the Job

This position is responsible for managing and supervising all design and instrumentation work to ensure timely and quality submission of project deliverables. The successful candidate will be responsible for interpreting and verifying industry standards, guidelines, and codes for project deliverables and scheduling and monitoring work plans consistent with prime contract requirements.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage the provision of cost-effective preliminary bid drawings and designs, concepts/schematic designs, engineering specifications, and construction drawings.
  • Ensure that all pre and post-construction Civil, Structural, Architectural, and Sanitary engineering design inputs and requirements are met.
  • Oversee the overall quality of the Civil, Structural, Architectural, and Sanitary design by ensuring that it meets project minimum requirements, design standards, quality plans, schedules, and budget.
  • Conduct the final checking and evaluation of Vendor Reference Drawings, Specifications, and Construction Drawings.
  • Review and coordinate documents from other disciplines, contractors, customers, and outside agencies.
  • Sign and seal Design/Drawings for Civil, Structural & Architectural Designers.
Requirements
  • Graduate of Bachelor's/College degree in Architecture, Civil or Sanitary Engineering; PRC Licensed Engineer.
  • At least twelve (12) years of design engineering experience in various projects such as relevant civil/structural design experience in various structures such as transmission and distribution systems, power plants, substations, buildings.
  • At least three (3) years of engineering management experience.
  • Critical/innovative thinker and team player with leadership skills.
  • Excellent project design management skills.
