Job Overview

With the rapid expansion of our Android app, we require a seasoned Senior Android Engineer to provide support for our growing user base and contribute to innovative projects that propel us forward.

This key role is suited for an individual who thinks strategically, thrives in fast-paced environments, and has experience crafting exceptional user experiences that delight users.

Our interview process involves multiple technical interviews, with a goal of completing them within one week.

Key Responsibilities
  • Owning major features and collaborating closely with our design team - taking ownership of features within the app and being accountable for delivering high-quality features
  • Shaping the future of our Android team
  • Managing and enhancing reliability metrics for critical features
  • Participating in cross-functional discussions - Product, Design, Engineering
  • Reviewing code changes and supporting fellow team members
  • Addressing critical issues or navigating unexpected challenges
  • Overseeing feature releases and providing nightly builds for the QA team
Ideal Candidate Profile
  • At least 5 years of software engineering experience
  • Familiarity with Android components
  • Experience developing or contributing to at least one Android application
  • Product design intuition and empathy towards users
  • Drive to innovate and enhance Android UI/UX
  • Understanding of test importance and effective testing approaches
  • Self-motivation to continually improve the app and codebase beyond specifications
  • Proficiency in Kotlin, Kotlin Coroutines, Kotlin Flow, Dagger 2, MVVM, Clean Architecture, Background Services, Music Player Service, Android Animations, Jetpack Navigation, and JUnit tests
  • Excellent communication skills
  • User-centric problem-solving approach
  • Driven by continuous feedback from leaders
Bonus Requirements
  • Experience contributing to open-source Android projects
  • Knowledge of iOS, Web, or NodeJS
