Job Description\

Gappify seeks a seasoned software engineer to join its growing team in Manila. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, developing and maintaining high-quality web applications using PHP, Java and other relevant technologies.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of software solutions\
  • Conduct code reviews to ensure adherence to coding standards and best practices\
  • Stay up-to-date with emerging technologies and industry trends to propose innovative solutions\

Required Skills and Qualifications\

The following skills and qualifications are essential for this role:

  • \
  • 4+ years of professional experience in software development, with a focus on PHP and Laravel framework\
  • Strong understanding of object-oriented programming principles, design patterns and software architecture concepts\
  • Proficient in PHP, including experience with Laravel, and comfortable working with Java technologies within a hybrid environment\
  • Experience with front-end technologies such as HTML, CSS, JavaScript and front-end frameworks (e.g., React)\
  • Solid understanding of relational database concepts and experience with SQL and database management systems (e.g., MySQL, PostgreSQL)\
  • Experience with version control systems such as Git and proficiency in using development tools and IDEs\
  • Excellent problem-solving skills, attention to detail and ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment\
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively communicate technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders\
  • Understanding of software development methodologies such as Agile, Scrum or Kanban\
  • Active knowledge of AI/ML/LLM technologies and their application in enhancing application features and solving development challenges\
