As a Utility Team Lead, you will oversee a team of engineers responsible for managing and mentoring utility sector inspections, data accuracy, and process improvements.

Responsibilities include:

  • Managing and mentoring a team of Utility Engineers
  • Oversight of cataloging utility assets and identification of equipment issues or hazards
  • Ensuring quality control of work packages and compliance with project standards
  • Providing leadership, mentorship, and training to junior engineers
  • Collaboration with companies to ensure project goals and deliverables are met
  • Alignment of data accuracy with industry standards
  • Staying updated on industry standards, regulations, and best practices
  • Participation in training programs to enhance technical knowledge

Required skills include:

  • 5+ years experience in the electric utility field
  • Strong leadership, problem-solving, and project management skills
  • Excellent communication and organizational abilities
  • Proficient computer skills and written/oral communication abilities
  • Working knowledge of National Electrical Safety Code (NESC), national engineering standards, utility construction standards, and best industry engineering practices
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively
  • Attention to detail and commitment to delivering high-quality work
  • Ability to work remotely and coordinate with distributed workforce
