This is a full-time opportunity to work as a Medical Biller supporting revenue cycle management in the US healthcare sector. The role involves utilizing Athena billing software to manage medical charges, payments, and journal entries for patient accounts.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Accurately post medical charges, payments, and journal entries to patient accounts
  • Work with insurance companies, healthcare providers, and patients to process and manage claims
  • Verify insurance eligibility and benefits, along with patient registration data
  • Prepare and transmit claims using the Athena billing software
  • Follow up on unpaid claims and research denied claims for maximum reimbursement
  • Appeal denied claims and navigate complex insurance guidelines
  • Ensure strict compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements
Required Qualifications:
  • Proven experience as a Medical Biller with extensive hands-on experience using the Athena billing software/EMR
  • Solid understanding of US healthcare insurance guidelines and medical billing best practices
  • Demonstrated ability to perform eligibility and benefit verification
  • Proficiency in obtaining claim statuses and navigating payer portals
Nice-to-Haves:
  • Knowledge of credentialing processes
  • Experience in denial management and appeals
