At KMC Solutions, we are seeking a highly skilled PROJECT ENGINEER II to join our team. As a key member of our design department, you will play a crucial role in delivering exceptional office fitout construction projects.

About the Role:
  • Designing mechanical HVAC and Fire protection systems as primary responsibility.
  • Assisting in Project Management if no design works required, focusing on mechanical systems as secondary responsibility.
  • Collaborating with Interior designers, Architects, and engineers under the Project and Design Department.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Providing schematic layouts and site mapping for AC and fire protection systems as conceptual layouts suitable for bid documents and shop drawings.
  • Liaising and coordinating design works with Professional Mechanical Engineers signing off plans and specifications.
  • Preparing specifications and high-level BOQ as part of bid documents.
  • Reviewing and recommending plans and resolutions for all existing and new mechanical HVAC and fire protection systems across KMC sites.
  • Conducting ocular inspections and assessing handover conditions of possible sites to gather information relevant in designing mechanical HVAC and fire protection systems.

Requirements:

  • Strong communication skills and vast experience in designing mechanical HVAC and fire protection systems for office fitout space.
  • Licensed Mechanical Engineer or RME.
  • Able to provide sound solutions or manage project issues to prevent or minimize project escalations.
  • Familiarity with reading and interpreting architectural and engineering drawings and CAD files. Knowledge of Revit and BIM is an asset.
