Compliance Specialist

About the Role:

The Clinical Compliance Associate works directly with the Director of Compliance to ensure that clinical files remain compliant with state guidelines. This role is crucial for maintaining accurate documentation and supporting compliance workflows.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Verify completion of service tasks in electronic medical records (EMRs) and associated systems.
  • Confirm accuracy and completeness of progress notes for skilled care cases.
  • Ensure Plan of Care (POC) is completed within 24 hours of Start of Care (SOC).
  • Submit 485/Initial Assessment documentation within 72 hours of SOC.
  • Collaborate with RNs to resolve documentation gaps.
  • Work with RN Care Managers to implement audit corrections.
  • Monitor visit scheduling and productivity.
  • Track and report monthly visit counts and identify discrepancies.
  • Review incident reports, fall follow-ups, and on-call logs.
  • Confirm transfer forms and reassessments are completed on time.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent.
  • Minimum 2 years of professional experience in Community/Home Health, including home health regulatory compliance.
  • Familiarity with HIPAA and regulatory standards.
  • Experience with data collection and reporting.
Work Setup:

Onsite at a major metropolitan location.
