Job Opportunity: Legal Counsel

    We are seeking an experienced legal professional to join our team as a Legal Counsel. This is a key role that plays a vital part in ensuring the company's business goals are achieved while maintaining compliance with relevant laws and regulations.

    Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage Legal Risks: Identify, assess, and mitigate legal risks associated with business operations to ensure proactive compliance.
  • Provide Support: Offer practical support for daily operations and business transactions, ensuring alignment with company policies and procedures.
  • Contract Management: Draft, review, and negotiate contracts with customers to protect the company's interests.
  • Legal Advice: Provide expert legal advice on sales promotions, discount programs, and trade incentives, ensuring compliance with relevant laws and regulations.
  • Compliance: Support compliance with competition laws and other regulatory requirements.
  • Training Initiatives: Lead training initiatives and develop materials to enforce company policies and promote a culture of compliance.
  • Stay Informed: Keep the business informed about relevant laws and regulatory updates, ensuring timely action is taken to address any emerging issues.

    Requirements:

  • Minimum 5-7 years of legal experience in both law firms and manufacturing, with expertise in competition law, food and beverage regulations, labor laws, and litigation.
  • Strong skills in contract drafting, negotiation, and case management, ensuring legal risks are addressed efficiently.
  • Proven ability to work independently, make sound judgments, and escalate issues when needed.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with confidence in engaging senior management.
  • Experience in corporate governance and legal advisory, supporting policy compliance and business strategy.
  • Highly adaptable, analytical, and client-focused, able to manage multiple deadlines under pressure.
  • Holds a Bachelor's Degree in Law (LLB).
