Job Overview

The Senior Legal Counsel will provide strategic legal advice to support the company's growth and expansion. This role involves advising on day-to-day operations, collaborating with external law firms, implementing corporate governance standards, maintaining accurate legal records, and assisting with legal disputes.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Providing legal counsel on commercial contracts with third-party vendors, including restaurants, shops, marketing partners, and suppliers.
  • Crafting corporate documents and communications for customers, suppliers, and vendors.
  • Ensuring compliance with local laws, regulations, and industry standards, including ecommerce and fintech, labor, data privacy, competition, and consumer law.
  • Liaising with regional and central legal teams to maintain common standards and practices.
  • Conducting legal assessments on new business ventures and opportunities.
Requirements:
  • A lawyer with expertise in ecommerce, corporate, and commercial matters.
  • 5-6 years of work experience as a lawyer, preferably with law firm experience but in-house counsels welcome to apply.
  • Knowledgeable about local ecommerce/internet law, corporate governance, and labor laws.
  • Seasoned in drafting and reviewing various types of contracts and pleadings.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Comfortable liaising with internal and external stakeholders both locally and abroad.
