Recreator I
Are you passionate about working with diverse groups of people and contributing to a positive community environment? We are seeking a Recreator I to join our team.

The ideal candidate will be responsible for performing assigned tasks which serve the public use of municipal recreation facilities. This role involves opening and closing facilities, setting up equipment, performing routine maintenance and cleaning, collecting fees, maintaining order and discipline in assigned facilities and programs, assisting in assigned program areas, supervising volunteers or court workers, and maintaining accurate records and reports.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Open and close facilities following established guidelines.
  • Set up equipment needed for facility programs.
  • Perform routine maintenance and clean up for assigned facilities.
  • Collect fees for facility use.
  • Maintain order and discipline in assigned facilities and programs.
  • Assist in assigned program areas.
  • Supervise volunteers or court workers as assigned.
  • Maintain accurate records and reports.

Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • No prior work experience required; however, experience in working or volunteering with people is desirable.
  • Valid Class C California Driver's License is desirable.

Working Conditions:

Work will be performed in various settings, including recreation facilities, parks, and other outdoor locations. May be required to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.
