Are you looking for a challenging role that leverages your expertise in database administration?

This position requires strong skills in MariaDB clustering and replication, as well as hands-on experience with Linux (Ubuntu) and Azure administration.

The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of performance tuning, backup, and disaster recovery concepts, as well as familiarity with automation and configuration management tools such as Ansible and Terraform.

  • Key Responsibilities:
  • Monitor and optimize MariaDB clusters and MaxScale load balancers for high availability.
  • Administer Ubuntu Linux servers on Azure VMs, including patching, tuning, and automation.
  • Manage and optimize Azure resources including Traffic Manager, load balancers, and networking.

Requirements:

  • 3+ years of experience as a MySQL or Maria DBA (cloud or hybrid).
  • Strong skills in MariaDB clustering and replication preferred but not required.
  • Hands-on Linux (Ubuntu) and Azure administration experience.
  • Performance tuning, backup, and disaster recovery know-how.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Familiarity with automation and configuration management tools (Ansible, Terraform, scripting).
  • Experience with security compliance in regulated environments (e.g., SOX, HIPAA).
  • Knowledge of large-scale, high-availability systems.
