Job Description

 

  • You will be responsible for developing and implementing accounting policies and procedures, as well as managing day-to-day accounting operations. This includes managing full-cycle month-end closes for multiple clients across various industries.

 

Key Responsibilities:
  • Vendor Management and AP:
    • Review invoices for proper coding and provide guidance to staff members.
    • Process payments after receiving client approval.
    • Oversee quarterly 1099 checks.
  • AR and Cash Management:
    • Manage the Accounts Receivable cycle.
    • Review weekly cash flow forecasts and communicate changes or differences to relevant parties.
    • Monitor cash flow and make recommendations to clients as necessary.
  • Daily Bookkeeping:
    • Manage weekly transaction cycles.
    • Maintain the organization of data rooms.
  • People:
    • Facilitate the transition of support staff on clients.
    • Review and approve payroll processing in accordance with clients' payroll schedules.
  • Month End Close:
    • Review bank and credit card reconciliations.
    • Lead the month-end close procedures in accordance with the checklist, ensuring all deadlines are met.
    • Review monthly balance sheet schedules and disposition discrepancies or balances.
    • Investigate variances and make journal entry corrections as needed.
    • Perform month-over-month flux analysis and document findings.
    • Draft a monthly reporting package for Client Leads.
  • Compliance:
    • Review compliance filings such as licensing and corporate insurance.
    • Assist accountants with preparing annual tax returns and audits.
    • Manage year-end 1099 filings.
  • Communication and Team:
    • Work cross-functionally with the organization to support ad-hoc requests.
    • Maintain timely, proactive communication with clients and team members.
    • Manage accounting inboxes and respond to escalated inquiries where necessary.
