Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Accounting Specialist Lead to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing financial reporting, maintaining internal controls, and supervising accounting staff.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and review detailed financial reports to ensure accuracy and compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Analyze financial trends to identify areas for improvement and provide actionable insights to management.
  • Support the Assistant Manager in high-level reporting and analysis, as well as training and development of junior accountants.

Month-End & Year-End Closing:

  • Prepare adjusting entries and accruals for month-end and year-end closings, ensuring timely completion and accuracy.
  • Reconcile complex accounts, including Accounts Receivable (AR) and Accounts Payable (AP), to maintain accurate financial records.
  • Assist in preparing closing documentation and supporting schedules, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.

Team Supervision & Development:

  • Mentor junior accountants and provide guidance on accounting principles and tasks, promoting knowledge sharing and skill development.
  • Assist in training team members, ensuring they understand accounting processes, policies, and procedures.
  • Help identify training needs and process improvements for the team, enhancing efficiency and reducing errors.

Internal Controls & Process Improvement:

  • Assist in maintaining and improving internal control processes to safeguard company assets, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Ensure adherence to accounting standards and regulatory requirements, maintaining a strong reputation for our company.
  • Identify and recommend process improvements to enhance efficiency and reduce errors, streamlining accounting operations.

Qualifications:

  1. 5+ years of accounting experience, preferably within the online gaming, hotel, or casino industries.
  2. Strong experience with gaming revenue recognition, regulatory compliance, and multi-entity accounting.
  3. In-depth knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting, and regulatory requirements specific to gaming and hospitality.
  4. Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP, Oracle) and experience with property management systems (PMS) and gaming management systems (GMS).
  5. Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
  6. Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  7. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
  8. CPA (Certified Public Accountant) or equivalent certification is a MUST.
