About the Role

This role requires technical expertise in Company & Trust Tax Returns, Trust Distributions, Fringe Benefits Tax (FBT), Capital Gains Tax (CGT) event management, and Division 7A loan compliance and structuring. As a Tax Accountant, you will prepare accurate and timely company and trust tax returns, perform FBT calculations and CGT event management, ensure compliance with Division 7A loan regulations and structuring, mentor and collaborate with our offshore bookkeeping team to ensure consistency and quality across operations, and provide support in business activity statements (BAS) preparation and bookkeeping processes.

  • Prepare accurate and timely company and trust tax returns
  • Perform Fringe Benefits Tax (FBT) calculations and Capital Gains Tax (CGT) event management
  • Ensure compliance with Division 7A loan regulations and structuring
  • Mentor and collaborate with the client's offshore bookkeeping team to ensure consistency and quality across operations
  • Provide support in business activity statements (BAS) preparation and bookkeeping processes
What You Bring
  • At least 3 years of experience in Australian accounting and taxation
  • Proficient in Australian tax legislation and compliance
  • Familiarity with Australian Tax Office (ATO) systems and compliance deadlines
  • Xero and XPM proficiency
  • Background knowledge of FYIDocs is advantageous
  • Highly accurate with a sharp eye for detail
  • An excellent communicator who can train and guide junior or offshore staff
  • A self-starter who can work autonomously with minimal supervision
  • Motivated to grow with the business and open to taking on more responsibility
