Estimate Reviewer Position

The role of an Estimate Reviewer is a pivotal part in ensuring the accuracy and compliance of adjuster estimates for daily claims. The individual will play a crucial role in reviewing estimates, documenting revisions, and verifying construction standards.

Responsibilities include:

  • Reviewing adjuster estimates to ensure they meet accuracy and compliance standards.
  • Meticulously documenting all estimate revisions and related actions in XactAnalysis, maintaining a well-organized record of changes.
  • Verifying proposed repairs are accurate based on knowledge of construction standards and client requirements.
  • Compiling specific estimate revision requests.
  • Understanding and comprehending multiple client programs, guidelines, and requirements.
  • Applying program and industry guidelines during QA (Quality Assurance) review processes, potentially across multiple client programs, daily.
  • Interacting with clients (verbal and written) for discussions related to assignment activity.
  • Establishing and maintaining effective communication with adjusters to promptly address revision requests or clarify issues related to estimates.
  • Developing and maintaining thorough knowledge of XactAnalysis and Xactimate.
  • Collaborating with and assisting other team members during catastrophic event estimate reviews, particularly during peak volume periods.
  • Participating in special projects or performing duties in other areas as requested.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering (Graduate)
  • Minimum of 1 year of construction estimating experience.
  • Property loss adjusting is preferred but not required.
  • Maintains in-depth knowledge of XactAnalysis and Xactimate software.
  • Quality assurance and estimate review skills.
  • Property Technical Certification I
  • Property Technical Certification II
  • Completion of Construction Residential Basics from Kaplan
  • Completion of Homeowners Insurance Coverage from Kaplan
  • Completion of Property Casualty Concepts from Kaplan
  • Completion of Residential and Property Loss Adjusting Class
  • Haag Engineering: Hail and Wind Damage Assessment for Residential Roofs
