Job Description

The Senior SQL Developer role involves analyzing, developing SSIS projects and working closely with the team on any SQL issues.

This is an excellent opportunity for an ambitious and agile person looking to grow and learn in a very fast-paced environment.

The ideal candidate will have experience in database tuning, performance optimization, and development of complex queries. They will also be skilled in designing, developing, and maintaining database tables, stored procedures, and supporting objects.

  • Develop SSIS projects to handle ETL, transmission, encryption, and archiving of files received and generated.
  • Improve database performance through efficient indexing, query optimization, and troubleshooting.
  • Design, develop, and maintain database structures, including tables, views, triggers, indexes, and constraints.
  • Build and support operational reports for company stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with data teams to provide operational support, resolve recurring problems, and improve database architecture.
  • Document database topology, architecture, processes, and procedures.
  • Develop SQL queries and support ad hoc requests for data analysis.
  • Assist with capacity planning and resource expansion through data aggregation and analysis.
  • Work with project managers to ensure that reports and metrics identify business needs and opportunities for process improvement.
  • Identify inefficiencies in the database platform and propose solutions to management.

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or Information Technology.
  • Minimum five years of experience as a Database engineer or related role.
  • Three years of experience in SSIS development.
  • Two years of experience in C# and/or VB.NET programming languages.
  • Thorough understanding of database structures, theories, principles, and practices.
  • Ability to write and troubleshoot SQL code, design stored procedures, functions, tables, views, triggers, indexes, and constraints.
  • Extensive knowledge of Microsoft SQL Server 2012 or later versions.
