Accounting Professional Opportunity

This is a role that involves numerous responsibilities, including bank reconciliations across various entities, weekly and monthly direct debit reconciliations, as well as investigations. Additionally, you will be responsible for preparing the Business Activity Statement (BAS) on a monthly basis, processing journals, uploading payroll journals, and liaising with finance operations stakeholders to resolve discrepancies.

The ideal candidate will have previous experience in accounting or bookkeeping roles, holding a Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline. Experience supporting global markets, preferably AU/US/EMEA/APAC, is also highly valued. A bookkeeping qualification, or partial CPA/CA certification, would be an asset. Proficiency in MS Excel and other MS tools is essential, with familiarity with NetSuite, or similar accounting software, being desirable.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Bank Reconciliations: Ensure accurate and timely reconciliation of bank accounts across multiple entities.
  • Direct Debit Reconciliations: Conduct thorough investigations and reconcile direct debit transactions on a monthly basis.
  • BAS Preparation: Prepare and submit the Business Activity Statement (BAS) on a monthly basis.
  • Journal Processing: Process and upload payroll journals in a timely manner.
  • Liaison Role: Liaise with finance operations stakeholders to resolve queries and discrepancies.
Qualifications and Skills:
  • Accounting or Bookkeeping Background: Previous experience in accounting or bookkeeping roles.
  • Educational Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.
  • Global Market Support: Experience supporting global markets, preferably AU/US/EMEA/APAC.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in MS Excel and other MS tools, with familiarity with NetSuite, or similar accounting software.
