About the Role

This position requires strong technical expertise and leadership skills to drive architectural decisions, optimize existing systems, and deliver scalable solutions.

You will lead a small engineering team, work across front-end, back-end, infrastructure, and deployment, and collaborate with founders, product, and engineering to align architecture with business goals.

Key Responsibilities
  • Define the technical architecture for an AI agent platform.
  • Mentor and guide engineers, scaling up to 10+ team members.
Hands-On Development
  • Design, build, and optimize scalable systems using Next.js 14+, Node.js, JSON, and Axios APIs.
  • Implement solutions using N8N, integrate vector stores/databases, and develop automation workflows.
Infrastructure & Deployment
  • Manage deployments using Docker, Docker Compose, and hypervisors.
  • Oversee Linux-based development environments, scripting, automation, and performance optimization.
  • Implement and maintain secure local and remote deployments, with Cloudflare for instance management.
Security & Networking
  • Architect and secure local networks and deployment environments.
  • Contribute to enterprise-grade security discussions as the company scales to larger customers.
  • Work across multiple projects balancing system optimization and new feature rollout.
Required Skills & Experience
  • Proven expertise in AI automation and workflow orchestration (e.g., N8N, JSON, vector stores).
  • Advanced experience with Next.js 14+, Node.js, JSON, Axios API.
  • Strong infrastructure background with Docker/Docker Compose, Linux-based development.
  • Hands-on experience with local networks, system security, and architecture design.
  • Experience managing remote deployments and instances (Cloudflare preferred).
  • Extensive experience with Git versioning and project management practices.
  • Ability to balance hands-on coding with architectural leadership.
Nice-to-Have Skills
  • Enterprise-grade security architecture experience.
  • Familiarity with large language models (LLMs) and AI agent frameworks.
