Job Overview

Senior Financial Analyst responsible for ensuring the integrity of accounting information by recording, verifying, consolidating, and entering transactions.

Responsibilities:
  • Accounting Integrity: Ensure the accuracy and reliability of financial data by reviewing and verifying transaction entries.
  • Financial Reporting: Prepare and record asset, liability, revenue, and expense entries by compiling and analyzing account information.
  • General Ledger Maintenance: Maintain the general ledger by transferring subsidiary accounts, preparing a trial balance, and reconciling entries.
  • Financial Summarization: Summarize financial status by collecting information and preparing balance sheets, profit and loss statements, and other relevant reports.
  • Closing Procedures: Perform monthly, quarterly, and annual close responsibilities to ensure accurate financial reporting.
  • Process Optimization: Partner with cross-functional teams to improve process efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Deadline Management: Ensure timely completion of tasks and meet deadlines in accordance with policies and procedures.
  • External Audits: Manage proper deliverables to external auditors on annual audits and quarterly reviews.
  • Internal Audit: Lead internal audit engagements to ensure compliance with organizational policies and procedures.
  • Financial Security: Secure financial information by completing database backups and protecting sensitive data.
Qualifications:
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in finance or accounting, or related field.
  • Experience: More than seven years of experience in finance or accounting, including US non-profit accounting.
  • Knowledge: Extensive knowledge of U.S. GAAP and/or IFRS, with certification as a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) being a plus.
  • Skills: Strong MS Excel skills, experience developing financial reports and metrics, and good interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Personal Qualities: Ability to manage multiple tasks, adapt to a changing environment, and drive projects across an organization.
