Investment Strategy Lead

The Investment Head is a pivotal role in the university's investment strategy, directly reporting to the Investment Director. The position oversees the monitoring and management of existing investment portfolios, ensuring compliance with established policies and risk management guidelines.
Key Responsibilities:- Provide regular investment performance reports for informed decision-making
- Track, record, and analyze portfolio performance, as well as benchmark and individual returns
- Identify potential risk areas and offer recommendations for mitigation
- Maintain accurate data on benchmark performance and fund performance
- Monitor portfolio managers' adherence to guidelines and instructions
- Stay within approved limits for credit and investment exposures
- Prepare written instructions for authorized signatories regarding investment strategies
- Recommend participation in new issues and allocate amounts among accounts
- Prepare and review PowerPoint presentations on investment performance
- Develop financial models for university plans and projects under the direction of the Vice President for Finance/Treasurer
As a liaison between the university and external investment partners, the Investment Head must possess strong communication skills, attention to detail, and a deep understanding of investment principles and best practices.
